Summary

This drama depicts the salvation history from the Passion of Christ to His Resurrection, focusing on the perspective of the Virgin Mary, utilizing the form of classical tragedy. The narrative begins with a messenger's report of Jesus' arrest and Judas' betrayal, proceeding through the trial before Pilate and ultimately to the Crucifixion. Mary's heart-wrenching grief as she witnesses her Son's gruesome death, juxtaposed with her enduring faith in God's divine plan for human salvation, is vividly portrayed through her dialogues with the beloved disciple John and others. Following the burial of Jesus, Mary and her companions wait in deep sorrow for the promised resurrection on the third day. At dawn, the women visiting the tomb witness an angel and encounter the risen Christ, turning their mourning into immense joy. The play concludes with the exposure of the guards' conspiracy, Christ's appearance to send His disciples on their global mission, and a passionate prayer of devotion from the author.
